 The
Ontario Agri-Food Education Inc., in partnership with the
Ontario Bean Producers Marketing Board and the Ontario Coloured
Bean Growers' Association, and financial support of the CanAdapt project, has just completed their teacher's resource,
called Bean Bonanza.
Bean Bonanza identifies beans and bean production and includes a
background for the teacher, links to the curriculum, teaching
strategies and student activities. There is a coloured poster
for student use and black-and-white teacher's guide.
After studying this resource and completing the activities,
students will have a better understanding of the basic needs of
plants, the relationships between plants and other elements of
the environment and the significance of beans and bean products
as a nutritional focus.
OAFE will be distributing this resource to teachers at 250
workshops throughout the year. |
